FanCentro: what is it and how does the platform work in 2026?

Updated: By the FansDirect editorial team

FanCentro is an international fan platform where creators offer exclusive photos, videos and private chats to paying fans, through monthly subscriptions and one-off purchases with a coins balance. The platform has been around since 2017 and for years was one of the best-known OnlyFans alternatives, including among Dutch and Belgian creators and fans. On this page we lay out the facts: what the platform is, how it works for creators and fans, what it costs and where it stands in 2026.

FanCentro is an international fan platform launched in 2017, headquartered in New Jersey with a European office in Cyprus. It takes 20% commission, so creators keep 80% and get paid weekly from around $50. iDEAL isn't supported: fans pay by credit card.

In the first half of 2026, Dutch creators' use of FanCentro dropped by 70%. That's why we recommend opening a creator account on F2F.

What is FanCentro?

FanCentro is a subscription platform for content creators, founded in February 2017 by Stan Fiskin and Alan Hall, the team behind AdultCentro. Creators build a profile there with paid content: photos, videos, private messages and individual clips. The platform is aimed mainly at adult creators, but lifestyle and fitness creators are active there too. It grew fast during the pandemic and launched Centro University, a free training programme for creators.

FansDirect's advice: we've tested the platform ourselves, as both fan and creator. Read our review of FanCentro.

FanCentro's refreshed homepage after the June 2025 redesign.

A lot changed in 2025: the platform was taken over by the parent company behind Pornhub and got a complete redesign in June 2025. The interface has been more modern and mobile-friendly ever since, but the migration came with blocked accounts, vanished balances and lost content libraries. The focus is now more on the US market than on Europe. That's why many Dutch creators only use FanCentro as an extra channel. For how it stacks up against a local alternative, read our comparison of FanCentro and F2F.

How does FanCentro work?

FanCentro is built around two things: subscriptions to creator profiles and one-off purchases like clips, tips and paid messages. The coins system is what makes it different: fans first top up a balance and then pay with it on the platform. That makes one-off purchases easy to start with, but you'll need to keep a closer eye on what you actually spend.

For creators

  • Signing up and verifying: registering is free, but you have to complete ID verification (18+) before you can sell content. Want to know how to do it step by step? Check our guide to opening a FanCentro account.
  • Ways to earn: monthly subscriptions, individual clips and PPV content, tips and paid private messages. The minimum subscription price you can set as a creator is $5 a month.
  • Dashboard: the renewed dashboard shows statistics, income and fan interactions clearly.
  • Earnings: creators keep 80% of revenue, paid out in weekly rounds from about $50.
  • Important: always keep external back-ups of your content. During the 2025 migration, several creators lost their entire library.

For fans

  • Account and credit: you create an account for free and buy coins with a credit card or e-wallet. iDEAL isn't supported.
  • Spending coins: use your balance to buy subscriptions and individual clips, or to send tips and paid messages.
  • Range: tens of thousands of international creators, including Dutch creators like Famke Louise.
  • Heads up: don't keep a large coins balance on your account. If your account gets blocked, any remaining balance can be lost. Want to know more about paying safely? Read our guide to paying on fan sites.

FanCentro costs and commission

An account is free for both fans and creators. Fans pay per subscription or one-off purchase, and creators give the platform a fixed percentage of their revenue.

Cost itemAmount
Create accountFree (fan and creator)
Subscription for fansFrom $5 per month, varies per creator
Individual clips, PPV and tipsVariable, paid with coins
Platform commission20% of revenue
Creator keeps80% of revenue
Minimum payoutAround $50 per payout round

The 20% commission matches what most big fan platforms charge. For how FanCentro stacks up against the rest, see our overview of commissions and costs per platform. FanCentro in the Netherlands

FanCentro is an American platform and has no Dutch-language interface or support. Dutch fans can create an account and pay by credit card, but iDEAL isn't supported. For the Dutch market that's a clear downside compared with local platforms like Friends2Follow.

Still, there are Dutch creators active on FanCentro, including Famke Louise and Nicol Kremers. They mostly use it as a supplement to their main presence elsewhere. Use of FanCentro by Dutch creators dropped by around 70% in the first half of 2026, which reflects the shift towards local and bigger international alternatives. Safety and payouts

FanCentro requires age and identity verification for creators and pays out in weekly rounds by bank transfer, Paxum, ePayService or cheque, once your balance passes the minimum of roughly $50. Depending on the method you choose, the money lands in your account within a few working days. Creators who were still owed money after the migration got it paid out in most cases.

At the same time, reliability has been the biggest pain point since the takeover. Users reported accounts blocked without explanation, paid content disappearing and support that couldn't be reached. Things are more stable now than right after the takeover, but trust hasn't fully recovered. Our advice: use FanCentro as an extra channel alongside other platforms, keep external backups of your content and, as a fan, don't hold a big coins balance. A technically revamped platform with strong design, but trust still hasn't recovered since the takeover. Our review explains how we arrived at this score, based on our own experience as a fan and a creator.

FanCentro experiences

Experiences with FanCentro are mixed. Creators who were active before 2025 appreciate the wide range of earning models and the weekly payouts. After the 2025 takeover and redesign, though, lots of negative signals appeared: lost content, blocked accounts and slow support were common complaints on forums like Reddit and Trustpilot.

On average, fans rate the platform positively once they find a creator they want to follow, but the coins system sometimes makes the real cost unclear. Anyone trying a fan platform for the first time usually looks for an alternative with iDEAL and Dutch-language support. FansDirect's full FanCentro assessment combines our own testing experience with the latest user signals.

What commission does FanCentro charge?

FanCentro takes a 20% commission on all income: according to its own help center, creators get 80% of all transactions, with no extra costs (source: FanCentro Creator Help, checked in October 2026). That puts it on the same level as OnlyFans, Fansly and F2F.

How fast does FanCentro pay out?

Does FanCentro work in the Netherlands?

Does FanCentro have iDEAL?

No, FanCentro doesn't support iDEAL. Fans pay by credit card or e-wallet, and that gets converted into a coin balance on the platform. Looking for a fan platform with iDEAL? Then Friends2Follow is a better fit for the Dutch market.
