Which fan platform suits you? Here we compare the various fan sites of 2026 for both fans and creators. OnlyFans is still the best-known name, but by no means always the best choice. In the Netherlands and Belgium, creators increasingly look at alternatives like F2F, Fansly, KNKY, FanCentro, Fanvue, MYM or LoyalFans.
The differences aren't just about commission, but mostly about discoverability, payment methods, support, reliability and whether you already have your own reach as a creator. On this page FansDirect compares the main fan platforms on practical points. No sales talk, just a sober decision aid for creators and fans.
No time to compare? Our two favorites
Want to get going quickly without reading the whole comparison? These are our two recommended platforms for 2026: one for the Dutch market, one for anyone who wants to grow internationally. We give both 3.5/5.
F2F (Friends2Follow)
For Dutch creators and fans: iDEAL, Dutch-language support, Dutch law and strong local visibility. The most practical starting point if you're targeting the Dutch market.
- 20% commissie
- iDEAL
- Dutch support
- Dutch law
Best for international
Fansly
Great if you want to grow internationally: a built-in discovery algorithm (FYP), looser rules and multiple tiers per profile. The strongest alternative to OnlyFans, especially for creators with no existing audience.
- 20% commissie
- FYP algorithm
- Multiple tiers
- Flexible rules

Best fan site per situation
There's no such thing as the best platform, but the best platform for you does. Below is our recommendation per situation.
The logical first choice, with iDEAL, a Dutch focus, local support and Dutch law. KNKY is an innovative second option.
Fansly
Often more interesting than OnlyFans: same commission, but with an internal discovery mechanism.
Fansly
The FYP algorithm sends organic traffic to new profiles. For a Dutch audience, F2F works well locally.
Fair enough, given the name and the scale. Do expect weak internal discovery; you have to bring your own traffic.
The only major platform that explicitly allows AI models, with a native AI package and an 80 percent payout for creators.
F2F + KNKY
The only platforms on this list with iDEAL. By far the easiest options if you don't have a credit card.
Commission, payment and discoverability
Commission. OnlyFans, F2F, Fansly and LoyalFans keep 20%; KNKY charges a 5% platform fee plus a 10-15% processing fee (around 15-20% combined); MYM takes 25%; FanCentro keeps 20% according to its own help center; Fanvue also charges 20% as standard, since the 15% introductory rate has expired, so creators keep 80% of revenue. Commission matters, but it's rarely decisive: payout speed, support and discoverability often count for more. Note: rates and terms can change, so always check the platform's current rules.

Payment methods. For Dutch visitors this is a deciding factor. F2F and KNKY support iDEAL; the rest are mostly international and built around credit cards. For any fan without a credit card, that's a hurdle on those platforms.
Discoverability. OnlyFans has the biggest brand but hardly any internal discovery, so you bring your own traffic. Fansly is friendlier to newcomers thanks to its algorithm, F2F is strong for Dutch visibility, and KNKY is trying to build a modern discovery layer through matching and social commerce.
Reliability and support
OnlyFans is the most established (305+ million accounts), but it scores poorly on service (Trustpilot 1.3): bank verification, accounts that suddenly vanish and slow support are recurring complaints. Fansly sits at 2.7 but gets strikingly positive reviews for fast, personal help. After its 2025 takeover, FanCentro saw reports of data loss, which is a serious concern. Fanvue does score high on Trustpilot, but our objections to its AI direction weigh more heavily for us. As a Dutch player, F2F has the advantage of reachable, Dutch-language support. KNKY is British and mainly works in English.
Legal context for Dutch creators
F2F is the only platform in this comparison that was founded in the Netherlands (Amsterdam). Disputes fall under Dutch law: a court in the north of the Netherlands ruled in 2023 that creators who register as hobbyists are in principle protected as consumers. KNKY is a British company (Social Commerce Ltd, London) and so falls under British law; it also runs its own token ($KNKY) on the Solana blockchain.
