Not everyone wants to pay for a creator's subscription on a fan site right away. Lots of visitors first want to see what a creator posts, how active they are and whether the content is worth it. That's exactly why more and more creators use free previews, public profile content, limited-time offers or a cheap entry-level account.
Free content definitely exists, but with a clear catch: creators ultimately make their money from paid subscriptions, one-off unlocks, tips, private messages or exclusive content. Free material is usually just a taster.
F2F Free turns out to be the best option in our test!
F2F (lots of free content)
★★★★☆ 3,5 / 5F2F, the Dutch OnlyFans, is free to join. What do you need to do? Open an account, confirm you're at least 18 and follow your favourite creators. You haven't spent anything yet. Everything can be viewed at no cost, but only via the link below.
Best for international
Fansly
★★★★☆ 3,5 / 5If you'd rather see international creators than Dutch ones, Fansly is a good option. Opening an account is free too. You do get to see less content than on F2F. Heads up: you have to set in your profile that you want to see all content, otherwise a lot is hidden. That happened to us too.

Think F2F, Fansly and other fan platforms where you can browse profiles, follow creators or find free posts without subscribing right away. Where can you find the best free content in 2026?
Fansly: the most advanced international fan site
On Fansly you can follow creators on a free basic level and upgrade to paid tiers when you want more content. Many creators use this tier system to build up an audience first before they start monetizing. The content is usually more substantial than on competing platforms: expect several photos and short videos a week even if you only follow the profile.
OnlyFans - freemium with a PPV focus
Many creators on OnlyFans now offer free subscriptions, with the real content sitting behind pay-per-view (PPV) messages. For fans, that means joining for free and then paying per video or photo set. The experience varies a lot: some creators send a welcome message with a few photos, while others go almost straight in with €10-€20 PPV offers.
LoyalFans - growing EU market
In 2025-2026, LoyalFans is one of the fastest-growing platforms for freemium content. Lots of creators use it as a second platform next to their main profile on OnlyFans or FanCentro. Read our LoyalFans explainer for context on how the platform works for both fans and creators.

Why do creators give content away for free?
It sounds counterintuitive: why would a creator give content away for free when they need to make a living from it? Three reasons stand out: funnel strategy: free content draws in fans who later turn into paying ones. A fan who starts out following for free is 3-5x more likely to end up buying PPV than a cold visitor. Creators often earn more from one-off purchases than from fixed subscriptions. A subscription makes it easier to get into their inbox, and that's where the real revenue model is.
Heads up: what not to expect
The word “free” sometimes creates the wrong expectations. A few realistic caveats:
- No fully explicit content. The more interesting videos and photo sets are almost always behind PPV or a higher tier. If you expect to get for free what a paying fan gets, you'll be disappointed.
- DM tips are standard. On free OnlyFans accounts, creators commonly ask for a tip in DMs before they reply personally. That's how they earn.

Leaks are not the same as free
Sites offering leaks of, for example, F2F or OnlyFans content distribute stolen material. Offering that content is not only illegal in the Netherlands (copyright and revenge porn law), but also dangerous because of malware and phishing.
Frequently asked questions about free content on fan sites
Is a free subscription really free?
Yes, getting in costs nothing. The content in a free tier is almost always limited, though. Creators earn through tips, PPV purchases or upgrades to paid tiers. You usually only need to add a payment method (credit card or iDEAL) when you tip for the first time or buy PPV content.
Do I get personal attention on a free profile?
Limited. Most creators prioritise paying fans. On a free subscription you get welcome mailings as standard and sometimes a first DM, but don't expect a lasting conversation unless you tip or buy PPV. If you want personal interaction, you're better off choosing a paid subscription with a creator who explicitly advertises that she replies personally.
Can I download content?
No. Even free content remains the property of the creator and the platform. On most platforms, downloads and screenshots are technically blocked. Re-sharing downloaded content is a criminal offence under copyright law in the Netherlands.
